College to host Milliken diversity professional

Spartanburg Community College will host the next Professional Speakers Series featuring Ricaye Harris, director of diversity and inclusion at Milliken & Co. The event, presented in partnership with First Citizens Bank, is noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the college’s downtown campus.

City seeks input on neighborhood park

The city of Greenville Parks and Recreation Department has developed a survey to help determine how residents currently use Kiwanis Park at 2 Old Augusta Road, and to gather input on the types of playground amenities they would like to see added to the park.

S.C. Legal Services to use grant to offer more classes

S.C. Legal Services, a nonprofit providing free legal assistance to Palmetto State residents, has received a $155,940 grant from the Legal Services Corp. to help improve its use of technology to assist low-income individuals with civil legal needs.
