Core 256 | Atmos for Pro Tools and Nuendo

Michael Whittaker has utilized classical training and knowledge of orchestration to compose over 300 television episodes and TV movies including the popular Power Rangers.
Currently Michael is independently scoring and producing for companies like Disney, Sony, NBC and Lions Gate Films. And in his studio, Core 256 guards the channel-routing, as Dolby Atmos has become one of the key delivery formats.
Michael says: "My dual Core 256 setup gives me the flexibility to work not only mix in Dolby Atmos, but now I can create full orchestral score to picture projects in real time in the Dolby Atmos environment with both Pro Tools and Nuendo."

Mixing Kylie Minogue in Atmos

Kurt Martinez from Dean St. Studios was tasked with mixing Kylie Minogue's new album 'Tension' in Dolby Atmos, and to him some of the greatest things in that process were to utilise the extra space to bring out more clarity on backing vocals and certain synths.
Things that according to Martinez simply wouldn't have been possible in stereo. Oh, and during the mixing sessions, he kept his MOM monitor controller close at all times to have that crucial hands-on control.

A fully stuffed AX64 about to get to work

At the Lithuanian Academy of Music, something is cooking... They are currently in the process of setting up a studio with an AX64 in combination with an SSL Origin 16 console.
And the AX64 is stuffed with analog expansion cards! It has 4 analog inout cards, as well as 4 analog output cards for a total of 32 analog I/O of the highest possible quality.
