Digital Trends' PC hardware specialist Jacob Roach has been lucky enough to try out the new ROG Swift PG27UCDM from Asus. One of only a few reporters to get their hands on this preproduction unit, Jacob found the monitor’s 4th-gen QD-OLED panel from Samsung Display to be seriously sharp. He spent a good deal of time playing Path of Exile 2 on it, and said it “looks incredible ... it’s almost like there’s too much detail to fit on this size of a screen all at once, but somehow, it works." And it's not just a new panel, as Asus has included a lot of extra goodies to make this display feel like a monitor worthy of being an early 2025 release ... |

Movie theater ticket sales in North America totaled $8.7 billion in 2024, marking a 3.3% drop compared to 2023, when revenue hit $9 billion, Variety reported. Last year was the first post-pandemic year in which overall revenues failed to improve on the previous 12 months, with the downturn attributed to "the lighter release schedule that resulted from 2023’s actors and writers strikes.” David A. Gross of the movie consulting firm Franchise Entertainment Research said: “The first four-and-a-half months of the year and the autumn were weak,” adding that dead periods in 2024 “left some deep bruises” ... |
