Tesla just joined the robotaxi race

 

Tesla launched its robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, on Sunday, allowing passengers to experience rides in self-driving Model Y vehicles. Initially, 10 cars are in operation, each one with a human safety monitor who sits in the front passenger seat. Riders can use the new Robotaxi App to summon a vehicle for trips within a designated area from 6 a.m. to midnight.
