Like you, we believe that farmers markets should be welcoming and nourishing spaces for everyone. This National Farmers Market Week (August 4-10), join us in creating a world where every kid has access to fresh, healthy food and joyful learning experiences at the farmers market.
This week, we're kicking off our Back to School, Back to the Farmers Market campaign, with the goal of raising $30,000 for our free youth education programs this August. Thanks to a generous group of donors, all donations will be matched up to $10,000 through August 10. Donate now to DOUBLE your impact!
Foodwise farmers markets and education programs are an essential source of learning, wellness, and connection for Bay Area youth, serving more than 3,000 San Francisco Unified School District students and their families every year. Through our Foodwise Kids and Foodwise Teens programs, students meet farmers face-to-face at the market, learn to grow and cook their own food, develop valuable life and job skills, and build community together.
This is a critical time for our youth programs, as we’ve just completed a multi-year grant with our biggest program funder. Foodwise has offered these impactful free education programs to SFUSD students for more than a decade. We need your support to bridge the funding gap, so we can continue to serve San Francisco kids and families with vital nutrition and wellness education. Help us grow our farmers market community and the next generation of food leaders with a donation today!
Take action this National Farmers Market Week to support farmers markets and youth in your community for a sustainable and equitable food future. Donate today and double your impact! |
