While the pandemic has brought new challenges, it has also strengthened our resolve to protect whatyou have always known is essential: Farmers and farmworkers are essential. Feeding each other and caring the earth are essential. And community is essential in creating the resilient, just, and regenerative food future we all need.

With your support, we’ve connected farmers and our community in new ways during the pandemic, distributing 1,400 fresh produce boxes to unemployed hospitality workers in need. Through our new CUESA Farmers Market Box program, we’ve directed $140,000 to small family farmers and food makers who lost vital income from restaurant closures. We’ve adapted our Foodwise Teens job training program to distance learning, so that students can grow food at home and gain vital job skills at the farmers market.

• $250• → $500 = Furnishes Foodwise Teens students with a grow box and seeds, so they can experience the awe of growing food at home
• $500• → $1,000 = Feeds 25 out-of-work hospitality workers and their families a week’s worth of fresh, healthy produce
