What You Need to Know Former president Donald Trump has been indicted a third time, with four felony charges related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Those counts are: obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the U.S. and conspiracy to prevent others from carrying out their constitutional rights. Trump's former vice president, Mike Pence, said about the newest indictments that âAnyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States. Our country is more important than one man. Our constitution is more important than any one manâs career. On January 6th, Former President Trump demanded that I choose between him and the Constitution. I chose the Constitution and I always will.â New Jersey Lt. Gov Sheila Oliver died unexpectedly yesterday after being hospitalized for an unspecified medical issue on Monday. She was the first Black woman to hold statewide office in New Jersey and the first Black woman to serve as Speaker of the General Assembly. She was serving as acting governor while Gov. Phil Murphy is on a family vacation in Italy. Senate President Nicholas Scutari is now acting governor.
