An unwelcome mat: Florida drug peddlers give away the game A cute doormat or sign can be a fun way to spruce up your entryway, but did you ever wonder if decorations could get you in trouble? A pair of drug dealers in Florida found this out the hard way after their tongue-in-cheek doormat gave officers a heads up on their activities. Neighbors suspected they were selling drugs for a while, but it was only when police decided to visit that they saw the writing on the wall (or ground, in this case). The welcome mat at the door of the pair’s home read, “Come back with a warrant,” and that’s exactly what the officers did. As a result, they were able to bust the pair and save an at-risk child. I guess that mat wasn’t about to let these dealers walk all over it anymore. You can make all kinds of excuses for the police, but this one won’t work. Tap or click to see if eating poppy seeds can really cause you to fail a drug test. → |
