Assemblywoman Daniele Monroe-Moreno represents Nevada's 1st Assembly District in the Nevada state legislature as the Speaker Pro Tempore, and serves as the Chair of the Nevada Democratic Party. She was the first African American woman to be elected as the Chair of the Nevada State Democratic Party and first to hold a leadership position in the Nevada State Assembly. Her excellent public service to the people Nevada include pushing for improvements in maternal and child health, early childhood education, environmental & transportation issues, racial and criminal justice equity issues, and improving economic conditions and opportunities.
