CMS allows employer plan vaccination status discounts The CMS has released new guidance allowing employer group health plans to offer premium discounts to employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, while prohibiting coverage denials for unvaccinated workers. However, the notice states that premium reductions should not exceed 30% of the total cost of employee-only coverage, and surcharges for unvaccinated members will factor into Affordable Care Act affordability requirements.
