Doing Good Deeds with Freecycle

I have been a member of Freecycle for a long time. Freecycle is an organization that keeps usable items out of the landfill by giving them to other members. I have both given and received many items.

This has got to be the easiest way I know of to clean deeply soiled, stained, cooked on gunk from your drip pans whether electric or gas. This also works great for oven racks.

I was made privy to a tip from a man who used to work for B&M Baked Beans. He told me you could freeze them. I bought a big #10 can and dived them up into zip bags. Sure enough, they heat up like you just took them out of the can.

Once a week all year long, write something good that happened. Put the slips of paper in a jar and read them on the next New Year. Then you can reflect on all the good things that happened that year.
Snow In The Sky On Christmas Day

We live in York, S C. where our climate is very mild and sometimes we get a dusting of snow. I am sharing this photo that was taken from our car on Christmas Day. The sky is a perfect fluff of snow, or possibly angel wings. We didn't get snow on the ground but how beautiful the sky was, giving an illusion of fluffy pillows that has made fun talk among my family and friends.
Reindeer Antlers Ceiling Fan Decor

Here is a fun way to decorate your ceiling fan for the holidays. Simply get reindeer headband antlers and place them on top of the light bulb covers. Take two light bulbs out and they look like eyes. It looks even cuter in person. :)
Wrapping Paper and Ribbon Storage

I do a lot of crafts in a small space. My collection of wrapping paper seems to grow this time of the year. I make my small area more efficient and a space saver with cup hooks, wood dowels, and plastic or metal chains.
