| | Docker: Making the Internet Programmable (LinuxCon EU Keynote) In case you missed it, Docker's founder and CTO, Solomon Hykes keynoted LinuxCon Europe in Berlin earlier this month. Solomon used his time to talk about Docker’s mission, which is to build tools of mass innovation, starting with a programmable layer for the Internet that enables developers and IT operations teams to build, ship and run distributed applications. Watch the complete keynote to see the Docker for Mac / Docker for AWS demos and to learn more about Docker and open source.
More Docker Labs!
Since we launched Docker Labs back in May, we’ve had a lot of interest. So, we keep adding more and improving the labs that we already have. We now have 22 hands on labs for you to choose from, ranging from beginner tutorials to much more advanced ones. Check out Docker Labs repo to learn how to use Docker. And as always, we really encourage contributions. Read more Docker Global Mentor Week 2016
With more than 65 events worldwide and many more in the planning phase, it's been amazing to see the community getting ready for the Docker Global Mentor Week (Nov 14-20). Attendees will chose either the beginner or the intermediate level lab, and complete the coursework during the event. We are partnering up with CS schools, OSS communities, coding institutions, and local meetup groups to throw a series of events around the world and help recruit a diverse membership. Get involved!
