On March 17, people around the world will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Amid displays of shamrocks, leprechauns and other symbols from Irish lore, many participate in festivities in the name of St. Patrick. But most who celebrate don’t know the true story of this bold witness for Christ who was kidnapped, sold as a slave and so compelled by Christ’s love that he returned to his captors with the gospel.
