| Hey there, Loretta here! About seven weeks ago I joined the working from home (WFH) club, and what a club it turned out to be…no cover charge, no dress code and endless cups of free coffee!
Seriously though, with my mum in a high-risk group due to her age and recent surgery, I was grateful to be able to work from home while looking after her.
Walking from my place of slumber to my place of work was a bonus, along with not having to wear make-up or dress up (I may have stayed in my pyjamas on more than one occasion).
One of the biggest highlights of WFH was learning mum’s secret salmon rissole recipe while on air. Bin night was also a real showstopper…I popped on one of my 27 bridesmaids’ dresses and did the Nutbush on the driveway while taking the rubbish out!
Despite all my wild WFH adventures I have to say it was good to get back into the studio with Craig on Monday and I’m pretty sure the feeling’s mutual...tune in from 5am weekdays to hear how it’s going! | |

| COVID-19 Older Persons Support Line | | Do you know an older Australian who may not have proper access to the internet or the confidence to be able to find COVID-19 information online?
A free COVID-19 Support Line has been launched for senior Australians, their families and carers, to provide the critical information they need to stay healthy and safe during the pandemic.
The hotline can be accessed 8.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday on 1800 171 866 and can be used for personal support, questions and up-to-date guidelines.
ABC Radio has also launched a new national segment, Getting On, a COVID-19 special feature targeted at seniors with no digital connection to get up to date information and learn more about the issues impacting older Australians.
Getting On is broadcast Sundays at 5.30pm AEST across all Local Radio channels. |
