Yageo Corp. completes Kemet Corp. acquisition

Taiwan-based electronic component manufacturer Yageo Corp. acquired electronic supplier Kemet Corp. in an agreement announced today. Kemet relocated its headquarters from Greenville to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in 2017 but maintains a plant in Simpsonville.

Businesses, homes and cars damaged or vandalized in the uprisings and civil unrest after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis will be covered by most insurance policies, with few exceptions, industry experts say. Pandemic-related losses will not be covered within civil unrest claims.
