The climate crisis creates major challenges for all of us and at the same time requires the commitment of every individual. For us sustainability and business success are inextricably linked. That is why we have set ourselves ambitious goals. We aim to operate in a carbon-neutral way in our activities worldwide by 2025. This supplements the existing goal of switching to green power at all our sites worldwide by end of this year. |

There is still a long way to go but you can already gain an insight into our current sustainability projects and join us on our journey to bring more sustainability to ZEISS. |

Our commitment to the protection of nature and environment |
Together with various cooperation partners, we are very committed to sustainability and environmental protection. With numerous nature conservation and social responsibility initiatives we want to contribute that nature and habitats for countless species remain in place over a long period of time and let people also in the future experience the beauty of our nature. |

Our contribution to the responsible use of resources |
We are creating awareness and sensitivity around the responsible use of ressources with a wide variety of employee projects. Investing in new cooling systems or using the concept of drip irrigation for lens production have already saved over 10,000m3 water per year. Initiatives, such as switching to LEDs or the exclusive use of electricity from renewable energy sources in production, lead to continuous energy savings. |
