| Hello John, Every year at KQED, we create an annual report, which offers us an opportunity to look back at some of our most inspiring and impactful work from the previous year. I’m honored to share the 2021 Local Content and Service Report to the Community with you, as well as a video that highlights some of what you’ll discover inside.
The report features KQED’s collective story; it reveals some of the most innovative and groundbreaking work we do and how that impacts our communities – from our investigative reporting into PG&E’s mishandling of wildfire funds to investigations into police misconduct; from our new climate desk, which focuses on community reporting, environmental justice and solutions; to our SOLD OUT podcast series, which examines housing inequality and equity — and much more. We couldn’t do this work without your support. Thank you for all you do to contribute to our mission to inform, inspire and involve. Because of you, KQED is able to redefine public media for the Bay Area, making it more inclusive, participatory and community powered. Speaking on behalf of all of us at KQED, we’re grateful for your belief and trust in us and hope you enjoy learning about the ways in which your contributions make a difference. Together, we’re building a better future. Sincerely, Michael Isip President & Chief Executive Officer
