EVENTS/TASTINGS Cleveland Beer Week The 16th celebration of craft beer is under way. Two key events are happening this week: Neighborhood crawl: One-of-a-kind collaboration beers and special releases will be available at assorted stops along Lee Road. Info: 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11: Check in is at Boss Dog Brewing Co., 2179 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights. Tickets: $25 ($100 for group of five). Advance tickets are preferred, but space permitting tickets will be available at the door. Barrel Aged Bash 4.0: At the week’s big finale, breweries and distilleries will offer barrel-aged beer and their spirit companions. It includes 10 beer samples and 10 paired spirit samples and food from Butcher and the Brewer. DETAILS Western Reserve Herb Society Herb Fair The 77th fair offers a chance to check out a selection of hand-crafted herbal items including blends, jams, jellies, teas, wreaths, pressed-flower note cards, potpourri, baked goods and creative recycling finds. DETAILS Old Brooklyn StreetFest Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn neighborhood is hosting an all-day celebration this Saturday including food, live music and more. The Old Brooklyn StreetFest is set for noon to 8 p.m. on October 12. Broadview Road will be closed to traffic between Spring Road and Tampa Avenue to accommodate the neighborhood block party. The event pops up as a murder mystery Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 10-12, at Convivium 33 Gallery, 1433 East 33rd Street, Cleveland. “The Vampiric Council” supper club event will be staged October 24-26 and October 31, November 1 and 2 at the same venue.
