Good morning, Marketer, are you keeping your eyes on the goal line?

The more things change, the more they stay the same. Digital marketing has changed a lot since it started about 30 years ago, but the goal hasn’t. Or, as our expert contributor Alan K’necht said, “What it always comes back to is how many eyeballs do you get to your site? Are they quality eyeballs? How are we going to define quality eyeballs?”

Alan has been involved with web analytics pretty much since the start. So we talked to him about all the changes he’s seen. He also told some pretty funny stories, like the time he needed an act of Congress passed so he could do a job for the military.
