Digicel Pacific taps SES to bolster disaster recovery in Tonga; Singtel, GMI Cloud combine resources to expand GPU capacity; Blackstone agrees to acquire AirTrunk for A$24 billion

Digicel Pacific, a Telstra company, has signed an agreement with satellite communications provider SES to bolster its network with SES’s service to restore critical communications quickly in the event of natural disasters.

Singtel collaborated with AI-native GPU cloud platform provider GMI Cloud to combine their GPU resources and infrastructure and expand GPU capacity in the US and Asia Pacific.
Asset manager Blackstone, along with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, has entered into an agreement to acquire data centre platform AirTrunk from majority stakeholders Macquarie Asset Management and Public Sector Pension Investment Board for A$24 billion.
More than 500,000 premises across Western Australia (WA) are eligible for fibre upgrades on the NBN network, wholesale broadband operator NBN Co claimed.
Telstra has launched what it calls the "world-first" Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Satellite internet and voice service, available to eligible small businesses (those with no more than five employees) at the same cost as the consumer plan, priced at $125 per month and the cost of the Starlink Kit $599.
