When you know what matters, there can be no excuse for not taking action.

“If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first.” – Mark Twain

Whether you “eat the frog” at 6am, or at 4:15am as I do…

“Eat the frog” you must.

And as I have preached for many years…

It’s best to do it when you have the greatest willpower, discipline, and intention — which, as Twain points out, is most often first thing in the morning.

However...

We are human.

Knowing vs. Doing can be a battle.

The morning mindset game can be a tough one from time to time.

For example, a client recently wrote in...

Q: “Craig, I didn’t accomplish my #1 task in the morning and it set me back for the week. I know it's something I must overcome and I know nobody has a 100% success rate. I know that rationally but still... I’m handcuffed... irrationally. Please help!”

My Answer:

I get it. No one — and no mindset — is perfect.

Even the most relentless has slivers of doubt.

But I can tell you this...

Consistency works. Period.

And that goes for you too, even if you have a bad morning or week.

So give yourself some grace…

But then get back at it.

No more self doubt.

Try this little exercise to help you with the motivation to show up strong every morning:

Ask all of your clients / customers to reply to these three questions:

1. What were you struggling with before you started working with me / got my product?

2. How have my programs / products helped?

3. Who else would you recommend this for?

Once you get their answers back, print them all out.

Then read one first thing each morning…

Right before you tackle your #1 task.

This will help you focus on your mission and maintain the momentum and motivation to do what you must do.

It’s just one of many simple ways to program your mind for success.

“First thing to do every morning is read or listen to something positive. Your mind is like a garden. Whatever you plant, grows. Plant good stuff.”Alwyn Cosgrove

So do yourself a favor…

And start your days by feeding your brain positive food for thought.

Success Loves Speed,

Craig
