| Hello Reader, There are only a few days left to claim your place on the Alpha Society Priority List… and reserve your seat in the Alpha Society for much less than when it officially reopens. Go here now for details and to claim your spot. Places in the Alpha Society Priority List are filling up fast… and Sunday’s deadline is fast approaching. There are a bunch of reasons you should reserve your place on this list. Let me explain. One of the things I’ve done, going back to my time at Lehman Brothers, is to put myself in the middle of a lot of information and smart people. And the Alpha Society gives you both! You get a lot of smart analysis because you get access to everything Mauldin Economics publishes. And you get access to smart people—not only the Maudlin editors, who are some of the sharpest around, but also the Alpha Society members. The Network Is a Powerful Thing It’s good to know interesting people who know interesting people. The network is a very powerful thing. The Alpha Society gives me (and everyone in it) more inputs from smart people from many different places and vantage points. You’ll see it in the Alpha Society members-only forum. The importance of that cannot be overestimated (particularly if, like me, you’re a sentiment guy). The more inputs you have, the better view you have of who’s moving in a marching band. Another aspect of that is the Alpha Society-only Quarterly Conference Calls that we started this year. I’ve been involved in a couple of them: one with John Mauldin and one where I interviewed Gavekal Research’s Louis Gave. The cool thing about those calls was that we polled Alpha Society members beforehand about what they wanted us to talk about and then added in our own stuff, too. It made for a pretty great mix. Then There’s the Fun Stuff There’s heaps of other benefits too. For example, at the SIC 2018, the Mauldin editors and Alpha Society members were taken on a private tour of the Naval Base San Diego, which was super-interesting, particularly given that I was in the Coastguard in a former life. From what I hear, there are big plans for next year’s Strategic Investment Conference too. Anyway, like I said, there are a bunch of reasons you should reserve your place today. My point is that probably the least important reason you should is that it means you’ll be able to join for the lowest price. So if it sounds like it might be a good fit for you, go here now to reserve your spot. You should at least give yourself the option! The Mauldin team doesn’t want the Alpha Society to grow too fast—after Sunday, December 19, the Priority List will close and the Alpha Society will be offered for a higher price.
