Next Thursday, celebrate Día de los Muertos and Halloween at the Mission Community Market. Stock up on fall produce, bring the whole family, and join us in celebrating our Mission community on October 26, from 3-7pm.

Bring the kids in costume for family festivities and paper flower making, enjoy live music from, and contribute to our community ofrenda (altar) by bringing photos and mementos to honor departed loved ones. Support Mission Community Market farmers and food makers by picking up locally grown flowers, seasonal food items, and more.

Foodwise Sunday Supper Success

Thank you to all of our guests, chefs, winemakers, farmers, sponsors, and volunteers for making Foodwise Sunday Supper a success! Together, we raised more than$425,000 for Foodwise farmers markets, food access initiatives, and education programs, which serve local farms and thousands of Bay Area families. Coconut Curry with Tofu Greens

At the Foodwise Classroom, Minh Tsai, founder of Hodo, shared this recipe for a simple, comforting curry featuring leafy greens and Hodo's Indian Spiced Tofu.

Ferry Plaza Farmers Market: Featured Vendors

Husband-and-wife team John Ginanni and Kaylyn Reyes started Canteen Meats in Petaluma, highlighting pork, beef, lamb, and duck from small local ranchers. Visit their stand on Saturdays for salumi, charcuterie, salt cured meats, and more.

Popping up at the La Cocina tent on Saturdays in October through Foodwise's Building Equity program, Carmen Anderson preserves authentic flavors and recipes of Peru. Try her empanadas, flan, alfajores, chicken causa, tamales, and more.

Mission Community Market: Featured Vendors

Next Thursday at Mission Community Market, pick up locally grown flowers, such as marigolds from Medrano’s Flowers, and ofrenda food items from food crafters such as Bolita (corn masa) and Norte54 (pan dulce).

Casa Bonampak, a fair trade importing company dedicated to the preservation of Latine traditions, will pop up for Día de los Muertos next Thursday, with papel picado and other beautiful Mexican decorations.
