DHEC director cites health, family concerns in resignation

Providence Health to open unit for recovering patients

The 10-bed facility in downtown Columbia will provide short-term rehabilitation for nursing home residents whose COVID-19 symptoms have subsided but who still test positive for the virus. Beds are expected to be available by mid-June.
