Details into death of Southern student show possible effort at a cover-up

BY DOUG GRAHAM | Staff writer

When Caleb Wilson was brought to a Baton Rouge hospital last week, the story was that he had been found an unresponsive at a local park. He later died, triggering an investigation by police.

Now, sources say the 20-year-old's death came after he was punched in the chest during a fraternity hazing ritual at a warehouse where about 10 fraternity members hit pledges with their fists and objects. The story involving the park apparently was fabricated by some of the fraternity members.

A source also says no one called 9-1-1 and there was a lapse in time between Wilson's medical episode and when he was taken to the hospital.
