DESIGNBOOM'S MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025
Milan Design Week 2025 is just around the corner, and designboom is here to guide you through this year’s most exciting events, exhibitions, and must-see installations. To kick off the week, we are reuniting with Philippe Starck for an exclusive takeover on Monday, April 7, starting at 9:30 AM on designboom's Instagram stories! We are also joining Classics Reinvented by Highsnobiety for Not In Milan, a celebration of design’s enduring power—where timeless objects are reimagined, reinterpreted, and placed on a cultural pedestal. Taking over MAGMA, the exhibition brings together a diverse group of partners, including Bar Basso, Bloc Studios, Cara Davide, designboom, NM3, Parasite 2.0, and many more – RSVP here. At Giardino Delle Arti, we are hosting a panel discussion with MCM and Atelier Biagetti on their playful home collaboration designed for both pets and humans. Join us on April 9 by RSVP'ing here: [email protected]. Find out more about everything taking place during the world’s biggest design event through out our ultimate guide!
3D PRINTED CLAY HYDROPONICS REDEFINE URBAN FOOD PRODUCTION
Combining ceramics and 3D printing, architect Logman Arja creates a sustainable, deployable urban farming system that rethinks food production. With a vertical setup developed to save space, the project introduces additively manufactured clay hydroponics as a promising soilless agriculture technique. See more submissions by our readers here, and find out how to upload your own project here.
The weekly is an inside review curated by Sofia Lekka Angelopoulou.
