WEEK IN REVIEW ALEX CHINNECK ON THE LOOPING BOAT, HIS MOST COMPLEX WORK TO DATE designboom speaks to alex chinneck ahead of the unveiling of 'the looping boat' at the sheffield & tinsley canal in the UK. marking his most complex installation to date, the sculptural artwork takes the form of a boat whose body, made of rolled steel, performs a six-meter-high and thirteen-meter-long, gravity-defying, aerial loop-de-loop.
