Gregory Ryan Anderson investigated the allegations on his own, concluded no crime had occurred, then violated the law by not reporting the accusations further, a Riverside County sheriff’s investigator wrote in an affidavit. Environment Caltrans looking at addressing PCH flooding issues near Bolsa Chica wetlands Pacific Coast Highway closing during high tides or heavy rainstorms near the Bolsa Chica wetlands is a common problem for drivers in the area, and Caltrans officials say they are looking to address the flooding problems in the future. PCH from Warner Avenue to Seapoint Street had to be closed 12 times last year due to flooding, according to data from Caltrans officials. Read more |

Environment Event offers glimpse at a clean-air future for trucks A sneak peek at the new era of battery-fueled big rigs carrying goods without belching toxic exhaust was offered this week. In the warehouse-rich Inland Empire, a trucking company unveiled a fleet of 50 electric-powered big rigs in Ontario that look similar but sound and smell different than traditional trucks. A rule passed last year aims to phase out California’s diesel-powered trucks by 2042 and sets deadlines to use and sell zero-emission vehicles. Read more |
