Death row clemency hearings delayed as Jeff Landry, others cry foul

Clemency pleas: The state's pardon board on Monday postponed consideration of 56 death row prisoners' requests to live, after Attorney General Jeff Landry and others showed up to decry the process, James Finn reports. Landry and others say the process is being rushed.


Trump in Louisiana: Former President Donald Trump isn't worried that his indictments will hurt his election prospects next year, he told a throng of reporters as he visited the New Orleans area Tuesday. Trump was in town to fundraise for his 2024 presidential bid, Tyler Bridges reports.
