They're called Whoopie Pies!
They're "cookies" made with a cake mix scooped on a baking sheet.
The easy way to frost and fill them: The fudge frosting is more fudge than frosting. Warm the frosting in the microwave and dip the cookie tops. Then drizzle a little optional frosting on top.
The filling is light and airy,made with whipping cream and cream cheese.
The easier way (on the bottom): Fill them with premade Bavarian Cream. Then spread the frosting with a spatula--like a pastry shop.
