The #1 gift I can give you is more time.

Helping people create more time and make more money is my specialty.

But of the two…

Time is by far the more valuable currency.

Because you can always figure out a way to make more money.

Just ask any billionaire who’s gone bankrupt a couple times then made it all back.

But give that same billionaire six months to live?

9 times out of 10 they’d trade all their money for a little more time with the people they love.

Here’s my point…

When we optimize our days for efficiency — not only can we increase our performance, make more money, and get better results…

We can also achieve success in way less time than we otherwise would have.

Thus, we create more time.

Creating more time is not alchemy.

It's actually simple.

Not easy, but simple.

And it starts with three of the core principles from my book, Perfect Week Formula:

1. Getting up each morning and going straight to work on the #1 most important & difficult item on your to-do list (non-urgent but important work that moves your life or business toward your goals)

2. Eliminating distractions, negativity, time wasters, toxic people, and bad habits from your day.

3. Ruthlessly reviewing your days so you do more of what works and less of what doesn't. I often refer to this as watching the “movie of your day.” The idea isn’t to stress or over analyze — it’s simply to take an honest inventory of where you did well, and where you didn’t, so that you can move your actions and behaviors toward greater efficiency and optimal results tomorrow.

Don’t skip step 3.

Also…

Use my “end of day planning method” to iron out your mornings and start the next day off right (this will help tremendously with #1 & 2 above):

First, set a CUT OFF alarm on your phone that will officially end your work day.

This can be any time after lunch but no later than 2 hours before bed.

Then when your alarm goes off…

Move straight into doing your…

- Brain Dump

Get everything that’s on your mind, both personal and professional, out of your head and down on paper.

If something doesn’t really need to be done, mentally release the task and let it go.

- Priority To-Do List

Take any items from your brain dump that must be done the next day… add in your non-negotiables like date night, a workout, reading time, etc. ...

Then number each task from most to least important.

Use this to create tomorrow’s schedule inside whatever calendar system you use.

- Process Planning

This is where the magic starts to happen.

Figure out small things you can do to make your #1 task a little easier tomorrow morning.

Have an email or report to write? Try jotting down bullets to some of the key points.

Project to work on in the AM? You could have whatever documents or websites you’ll need already open and ready on your computer.

Struggling to drag your butt to the gym? Lay your workout clothes out the night before with your gym bag ready to go.

The point is to reduce friction and make transitioning to these tasks as quick and seamless as possible.

When you combine this end of day planning habit with the three principles I shared above (#1 priority first thing, eliminate distractions, review each day)…

Not only will your Morning Magic Time TRIPLE in effectiveness…

You will also start to see better results while having more time than ever before.

I challenge you to plan for this over the weekend…

And implement it next week.

It’s not hard and it’s not complicated…

But it does require some commitment.

I’d say you’re worth it.

And so is your family.

Wouldn’t you agree?

Success Loves Speed,

Craig
