The first 100G port was connected to DE-CIX Frankfurt in 2013, following on from the introduction of the DE-CIX Apollon platform. Meanwhile, close to 200 x 100G ports in Frankfurt are active, and the 200th access is already in provisioning , and connected capacity rose from a little more than 8 Terabit to more than 28 Terabit in Frankfurt, reaching close to 35 Terabit across all exchanges.

Two more DE-CIX-enabled sites in Dusseldorf: myLoc managed IT data centers

Milestone: New edge at DE-CIX 12 in Frankfurt active
At the end of January, a new edge at DE-CIX 12 in Frankfurt was activated. This is an important milestone, as DE-CIX 12 is now ready for service. With this active new edge, the Kleyer campus can grow further, the expansion is planned to cover the growth of the upcoming five to ten years. Read more.
New York: 100G available at 165 Halsey Street
In addition to the carrier hotels at 60 Hudson Street, 111 8th Avenue, and 32 Avenue of the Americas, 100G is now also available at 165 Halsey Street in Newark, NJ. A full list of access points at these carrier hotels and additional DE-CIX-enabled sites can be found here.

MásMóvil first Spanish operator with 100G access at DE-CIX Madrid
Since its opening in mid-2016, more than 100 Internet Service Providers have connected to DE-CIX Madrid. Now, the first local ISP, MásMóvil, is connecting with 100G access to the platform, as its growth on the Iberian Peninsula has increased its bandwidth needs. Read more.
