They have been hosen to tour France in 2022 starting with our Sister City, Brest and continuing throughout France. They have performed for many dignitaries and, during the 2008 Democratic National Convention, played for the Clintons, and other notables. Purnell is a cousin to Eddie Cleanhead Vinson, George Duke, 5 time Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves and the legendary Charles Burrell. They were a semi Finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis for 2018 and 2019 representing the Colorado Blues Society. In 2015 Mojomama won best self produced CD and favorite female vocalist for 2015 and 2018 from the Colorado Blues Society. In 2019, Mojomama won Best Band from Colorado Blues Society Members Choice Awards. The band recorded some new songs during the pandemic and the result has been regular airplay on the radio, locally on 105.5FM The Colorado Sound and 88.9FM KRFC Fort Collins. | | Rick Chiaraluce/ Dale Brunning QuartetSunday Oct. 10 - 6pm Seasoned jazz musicians Rick Chiaraluce and Dale Brunning have put together a supurb lineup for a night of incredible music you won’t want to miss! Rich Chiaraluce is from New Haven, CT and settled in Denver after a stint in the NORAD Band in 1968. He has taught privately through the years and has several CDs. He was the lead alto player with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra as well as playing with several other big band era bands. Rich and Dale have made several CDs together. A native of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, guitarist, composer, arranger, author, and educator Dale Bruning spent time living, working and recording in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York during the 1940s and 1950s. He moved to Colorado in 1964. His prowess as a performer is equaled by his talent in composing, arranging and teaching. Dale has numerous CDs and has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Frisell, Chet Baker and Jim Hall among others.
