| Here’s a peek of their song Zoomies (ft. Kingsley the cat) | | | Esthesis QuartetThursday, March 24th - 6:30pm What started as a composition support group to keep the creative juices flowing on zoom, became a dedicated writing and recording project. They played their first show together in LA at Sam First in August of 2021 and plan to release their first album in Spring of ’22. Esthesis Quartet plays original jazz with a reckless abandon that shakes the preconceptions of traditional instrumentation roles. Esthesis means elementary sensations of touch, a reference to the missed human contact and how much music represented and strengthened these connections in lockdown. Elsa Nilsson (flutes and pedals), Dawn Clement (keys and voice), Emma Dayhuff (bass), Tina Raymond (drums) |

| | Goldings/ Bernstein/Stewart Organ TrioWednesday, March 30th - 6:30 & 9pm In the mid 1990s, The New York Times described Larry Goldings, Peter Bernstein, and Bill Stewart as “the best organ trio of the last decade.” The trio, which has now been together for over 30 years, has been recognized for charting new ground, with its synergistic playing, and thoughtful music. They have over a dozen recordings, all of which display their distinctive sound, whether exploring the depths of jazz standards, or playing their own original compositions. Of their newest offering, Toy Tunes (Pirouet), Downbeat said, “The whole album subtly subverts organ-trio cliches, offering not chicken-shack party stomps but instead some hip after-hours atmospherics…4 stars” Larry Goldings (organ), Peter Bernstein (guitar), Bill Stewart (drums) | |

| | | Jessica LawdanThursday, March 31st - 7pm Singer-songwriter Jessica Lawdan is based in Denver, CO and has always found her way through music. As a performer classically trained in voice, she first discovered her passion for music in the bubblegum pop melodies of Britney Spears, the emo-rock energy of Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco, the innocent honesty of Regina Spektor and Ingrid Michaelson, and the jazzy nostalgia of Edith Piaf and the Andrews Sisters. Mix that all up and dump it out in the Denver folk scene that created The Lumineers and Gregory Alan Isakov, and the result is an eclectic lyrics-forward sound where pop hooks meet colorful instrumentation and harmonies, ukulele is the new guitar, and emotion is always the driving force. Jessica Lawdan (vocals, ukulele, piano), Gio Barabadze (guitar, bass, piano), Chad Irish (percussion) | |
