Purnell Steen & the Five Points Ambassadors: Celebrating Black History Month

For over 30 years, Purnell Steen and the Five Points Ambassadors has been dedicated to preserving and playing the Jazz and Blues music of Denver’s legendary Five Points neighborhood.
For a week in September 2022, the Ambassadors toured Denver’s Sister City, Brest, France, as part of its cultural exchange. The band has performed for many dignitaries, including the 2008 National Convention, playing for the Clintons and other notables.

The Jacob Larson Band is a funk and soul ensemble combining powerhouse vocals, classic instrumentation and an old-school approach to music that just about everyone loves. Digging inspiration from the roots of soul religion, the band shares their own take on such notable influences as Tower of Power, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cooke and Earth, Wind, and Fire.
Jacob, a prodigious entertainer with a strong and soulful voice, leads the band with true dynamic flair and presence, delivering the goods with a performance that moves and excites concert-goers of all ages.

King of Beats: A Tribute to J. Dilla Presented by ManyColors

ManyColors pays homage to the great J Dilla with an inspired soul-hop stew of fresh jazz harmonies embedded in a lo-fi soundscape with an irresistible rhythmic pocket. An emergent four-piece band, ManyColors opens up new musical space by using a hip-hop format to explore chords and motifs usually reserved for jazz.

Suite ti is a 6-to-8-piece musical ensemble created and formed by Ron Ivory, lead vocalist, and keyboardist as a springboard of The MilesApart Band R&B group and rhythm section for his One on One (Motown/Classic Soul) group in the fall of 2007. Suite ti mixes Contemporary and Smooth Jazz, a bit of R&B, Standards, Blues, and more with their own original compositions in a dynamic fashion at every performance.
