This is the kind of circular arguments we can get ourselves into.
AN ATHEIST, A BELIEVER, AND DON'T TRUST YOUR FEELINGS
Atheist: “How do you absolutely know there is a God?”
Believer: “Because I can feel his presence!”
Atheist: “I have never once felt God… ever!”
Believer: “You shouldn’t trust your feelings.”
Feeling God's presence was my last stronghold for being the kind of believer I was. When I realized we can manufacture feelings that make things seem real to us, that's when my last stronghold finally surrendered and I had to learn how to live differently.
