There are 31.7 million small businesses around the country, comprising 99.9 percent of all companies and employing over half of the American workforce, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The challenges they have faced from the pandemic and its ongoing economic reverberations have been monumental, and it’s clear that a full economic recovery will hinge on the success of small businesses, as their health impacts the health of large corporations and financial institutions.
