We have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Oracle has lost an incredible leader, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Joel's warmth and enthusiasm was infectious and he inspired countless others across the globe to be the best versions of themselves. He was the fire that sparked Oracle APEX and his tireless contributions since day zero make it what it is today. He leaves behind a community that only he could have built, and a spirit that will always be at the heart of APEX. Joel has truly left the world a better place than it was when he arrived.
