J. Krishnamurti Online

Freedom is not revolt, not a reaction, not a blind denial of what has been. Freedom can only come when you have understood the whole psychological structure of society, of which one is – understand it not verbally, intellectually or emotionally, but really go into it. Out of that, one has freedom. That freedom is tremendous order, because to go into the psychological structure of which we are, is in itself tremendous discipline, a discipline not imposed by authority, by somebody, by society – the professor, the parent and so on. Order can only exist when there is the understanding of the social structure of which we are. The very understanding of it is the discipline. And where there is freedom, there is order.
