We are the result of the past. We are the past, and any psychological projection of the past into the future as, ‘I shall be that; I shall arrive; I shall find the truth,’ any such projections are born of the past and therefore productive of conflict. To see something totally, with your mind, with your heart, with your eyes, nose, ears, with all your senses, as well as mentally and emotionally – completely – to see something without contradiction, without effort. Then you will find that the past can be broken down completely – not bit by bit, but totally, immediately because there is no gap between seeing and acting.
