How is one to be free of sorrow? Or is that a wrong question? If you say, ‘How am I to be free of it?’ the ‘how’ becomes a problem. A mind that has a problem is in sorrow because it is in a state of contradiction, of trying to conform in order to avoid sorrow. The moment you put ‘how’, you have introduced a problem.
