| A single-story pawn shop caught fire early Thursday morning in northeast Austin. The Austin Fire Department (AFD) said its crews responded around 1:45 a.m. to the fire at Action Pawn. Once on scene, firefighters said they saw smoke coming from the building with heavy fire inside. |

Dorchester County said fire rescue crews responded to a fire at Ridgeville Fire Station 8 on Tuesday, where measures taken by the fire crews to contain the fire caused an electrical shortage in the station’s brush truck. |

| Two Navy pilots are safe after a military fighter jet crashed in the San Diego Bay in California, officials said Wednesday. U.S. Navy officials told CBS News that both pilots ejected from the plane around 10:17 a.m. local time before it crashed into the water. |

| VIDEO: The common council voted in favor of letting Fire Lt. Doug Holl retire early with full benefits. The decision was made on Tuesday night at Glens Falls City Hall. As NewsChannel 13 has reported, Holl was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. He was a firefighter for over 17 years, but needed 20 years of service to receive a full pension. |

| PHOTO: The Fayetteville Fire Department has introduced a new response team that will use fully electric dirt bikes, or “e-moto” bikes, to navigate emergency situations on the city’s trail system. Fayetteville will be one of the first agencies in the region to deploy electric motorcycles for such purposes, according to a news release. |
