'A little escape': An old barn inspires a new events venue

Hanna City native Ashley Wurzer, a nurse anesthetist, has opened a new event venue called Haven on the Farm on pasture and farm land near Illinois Route 150 and Trigger Road in North Peoria. Wurzer built a large new barn on the property after discovering that the original barn was not a feasible option.

The new event space, which combines old and new elements in a tranquil setting, opened last year in Peoria, Illinois.
