Amid the hype for the Floyd Mayweather Jr./Conor McGregor PPV on Aug. 26, Showtime PPV locked in details for the fight, locking in the price of $89.95 for the show, with an addition $10 for HD. Meanwhile, Showtime Sports announced that it will present the official live stream of the Mayweather vs. McGregor four-city, three country press tour across digital platforms. The live fully produced HD programs will be available via Facebook @ShowtimeBoxing, the YouTube @ShoSports channel, UFC.com and UFC Fight Pass. Meanwhile, CBSSports.com and the CBS Sports app for mobile and connected TV devices will simulcast all four events live with CBS Sports Network providing live coverage of Tuesday’s event from Los Angeles. Showtime Sports announcer Mauro Ranallo will host coverage from Los Angeles with analysis from Paulie Malignaggi, Brendan Schaub and Ariel Helwani. 
 
Meanwhile, FOX Sports is getting in on the action, announcing plans for the fight with programming on FOX, FS1, FS2 and FOX Deportes leading up to the main event and recapping the action afterwards. Fight day coverage begins Aug. 26 on the FOX broadcast network and FOX Deportes at 6p with a one-hour Prefight Show, followed at 7p with two hours of preliminary boxing bouts live on the networks. The evening wraps up immediately following the PPV main event with the Postfight Show on FS1 and FOX Deportes. Meanwhile, Aug. 25 will see the Weigh-In Show on FS1 at 1p.
 
 
ON THE AIR

Univision Deportes reports that its broadcast of the opening weekend of Gold Cup games across Univision, UniMas and UDN averaged 1.3 million viewers with 700K in the A18-49 demo. Meanwhile, Sunday night’s Mexico match alone delivered 3.4 million to mark the top match of Gold Cup to-date, according to Nielsen Fast Nationals.
 
The Tennis Channel locked in a new deal with Nielsen to provide national TV ratings in addition to local TV ratings and other Nielsen products. “With today’s ever changing media landscape, it’s important for us to get insights into our viewers in order to assess our performance,” said Steve Badeau, Senior Vice President of Research, Tennis Channel. “By expanding our relationship with Nielsen to include National TV Ratings, we’ll now have a complete view of our audience across local and national TV. Nielsen continues to evolve and provide offerings that allow us to showcase the growing fan base of tennis to our valuable and potential advertisers.”
 
Vin Scully will be this year’s recipient of ESPN’s Icon Award at the 25th ESPYs on Wednesday night, per Sporting News. Actor Bryan Cranston will present the award to the 89-year-old Scully, who retired last year after a record-breaking 67-year run in the Dodgers' broadcast booth. Meanwhile, the company also announced that former First Lady Michelle Obama will present the Arthur Ashe Courage Award to honor Eunice Kennedy Shriver at the show, with Timothy Shriver, Chairman of Special Olympics, accepting the award on his mother’s behalf.
 
Elsewhere at ESPN, the company is set to tackle conference media days for the college football season through the end of July, across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, Longhorn Network, ESPN3 and ACC Network Extra. ESPNU will air two 90-minute shows from ACC Football Kickoff starting Thursday at 4p with Chris Cotter as host.
 
Finally, ESPN announced its presentation of UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 from The Netherlands will kick off Sunday with the hosts facing off against Norway at Noon on ESPN3 and streaming live on the ESPN app. All 31 matches of UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 will air live on the ESPN networks, with the group stage, quarterfinals and semifinals streaming on ESPN3 and the ESPN app, with the final airing from Enschede on ESPNU on Sunday, Aug. 6, and the trophy presentation immediately following the match.
 
The International Olympic Committee awarded exclusive broadcast rights to DStv SuperSport, Econet Media and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) for the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 and the Olympic Games in 2024. The deals see DStv SuperSport nab pay TV media rights in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, with Econet Media getting free-to-air and pay TV media rights in Sub-Saharan Africa while SABC acquired free-to-air media rights in South Africa.

NBC Sports Group and Club Deportivo Guadalajara – aka Chivas – announced a strategic partnership in which NBC Sports’ Playmaker Media will power the relaunch of Chivas TV, a direct-to-consumer platform that live streams matches of Mexico’s most popular team. Contests begin on July 19 in Guadalajara. “We are really excited to announce this partnership; Playmaker is exactly the partner ChivasTV was looking for to create an innovative, state of the art platform for all our users,” said Amaury Vergara, Director for ChivasTV. “Both teams have been working on developing the kind of product we envisioned from the beginning and I’m really sure all the Chivas Fans will really enjoy the New ChivasTV 2.0 Platform.”

Bluehole is teaming up with Facebook to livestream exclusive content for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on Facebook Live. Content will run four times a month with each live video showcasing different elements, starting with games hosted by one of Bluehole’s community managers. The weekly livestreams will then alternate hosts between content creators from the PUBG community and Bluehole’s community managers.
 
PanzerGlass locked in a one-year partnership deal with Astralis. The deal was brokered by Lagardere Sports, will include team-branded screen protectors as well as a PanzerGlass CS:GO trading card.
 
Gears of War Esports locked in two brand-new summer tournaments, with the North American tournament - the CMG Offseason Open – running Aug. 5-6 in Corona, CA and 16 teams competing. Meanwhile, the EU equivalent will take place in Nottingham from Aug. 19-20 with 24 teams in play.
 
 
ROSTER MOVES

Jonathan Nabavi, who most recently served as Majority Counsel for the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, has been named VP of Public Policy and Government Affairs at the NFL. There, he will will promote the NFL’s public policy and legislative agenda and represent the league on a wide range of issues before Congress, the Administration, and other federal and local government agencies.
 
Sportradar named Jason Sukhraj as Senior Vice President of Business Development for the US Market. He will lead all sales-related functions and will play a key role in driving strategies for generating demand and achieving revenue objectives across Sportradar’s evolving product lines.
 
Tennis Channel appointed Steve Disson to the newly created position of head of new business development, sponsorships. Disson will use his experience in television sales, event marketing and sports sponsorship to generate innovative partnerships for Tennis Channel and its advertisers.
 
Social media app 5 Seconds of Fame announced that Kobe Bryant will acquire a financial interest in and advise the company.
