David Ozer is leaving his post as President of IDW Entertainment to become an independent producer.
Netflix’s Chief Financial Officer, David Wells, will step down after 14 years with the company, once he helps find his successor. “I intend my next chapter to focus more on philanthropy, and I like big challenges, but I’m not sure what that looks like,” said Wells. Brendan Yam was named Vice President and General Manager, Viacom Digital Studios International, a new unit focused on creating, distributing and monetizing digital content for Viacom’s flagship brands outside of the U.S. Yam previously served as Vice President, Multiplatform for MTV and Comedy Central International, and Head of Business Development for Digital. 605 has appointed Doug MacDonald as Executive Vice President of Sales. Most recently, MacDonald was SVP of Digital Solutions at V12 Data. Erik Gerson and David Yoon have been named to the newly-created positions of Senior Vice President, Engagement and Senior Vice President, Design, respectively, at fuboTV. Gerson was previously SVP, Customer Experience at TIDAL, while Yoon, was VP of Design at WB Digital Labs Creative content company Alkemy X entered into a joint venture with studio Quietman, and brought on Director & Creative Director Megan Oepen.
The Quietman deal will see Founder & Creative Director Johnnie Semerad moving the operations of his company into Alkemy X, where both parties will share all creative talent, resources, and capabilities. George Cabico has joined The LIppin Group as Senior Vice President. Cabico most recently led consumer publicity and trade communications at Amazon Studios.
