FX outlaw biker drama Mayans M.C. premiered to the best ratings of any new cable series this year in every major demo, including A25-54 (2.8 million), A18-49 (2.5 million) and A18-34 (1 million).
CBS Sports’ Week 1 coverage of The NFL on CBS on Sunday scored its best opening NFL singleheader rating in three years, earning an average overnight household rating/share of 10.6/22, up +23% from last year (8.6/18) in the metered markets.
Opposite NBC’s Sunday Night Football, the Miss America Competition on ABC delivered 4.3 million viewers and .7/3 among A18-49, down 19% in viewers and 36% in the demo, but ranking #1 across all key Women demos.
The series premiere of ID’s Twisted Sisters averaged nearly 1.5 million viewers P2+ in delivery for the premiere episode on Labor Day, and reached a combined 3.5 million unique P2+ viewers when including the encore airing in late night. The episode ranks as the #1 Primetime telecast on ID for 3Q18 to-date in W25-54 delivery and rating.

Vince Hudson has been named to the newly created role of Executive Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of BET. Hudson joins BET from beverages company Diageo, where he was SVP, Global and U.S. Smirnoff and SVP, U.S. Multicultural Marketing and Vodka Innovation.
Sarah Personette will join Twitter as Global Head of Client Solutions in mid-October. Personette was most recently COO of Refinery29.
Crown Media Family Networks announced three appointments: Rachel Snyder as Director of Social Media, Unscripted Programming; Sajaad Shah as Director, Email Marketing; and Leilani Gushiken as Director, Production, EPK & Gallery.
Discovery Channel elevated Scott Lewers to Executive Vice President of Multiplatform Programming and Digital Media, and Jennifer Williams to the newly-created role of Executive Vice President of Global Talent Management and Brand Strategy and Operations, Discovery and Factual.
The IAB upped Michael Texidor to Vice President, Learning and Development, and named Breda O’Reilly as Vice President, Investment and Relations. Imran Khan, Snap’s Chief Strategy Officer, is leaving the company “to pursue other interests,” according to Smap. Khan, who will remain until a successor is found, is starting his own investment firm, according to Bloomberg.
