TV as her series heads into its final season. The 2020 Golden Globe Awards will be held on January 6 on NBC, the second show covered as part of a new eight-year deal with the Hollywood Foreign Press, Dick Clark Productions, and the network. DIGITAL DATA Yahoo Finance is launching a new video series celebrating women, Global Change Agents with Lianna Brinded, head of Yahoo Finance UK. It will be executive produced by journalist Lara O'Reilly, and include interviews from women in power around different industries. The 18-episode series is set to premiere on April 3 and run twice a month. Facebook reported it blocked 1.5 million videos at the point of upload after a New Zealand shooter livestreamed his killing spree on Friday, and the site also removed any videos that appeared to support the shooting. 300,000 videos were not caught at upload. TECH TALK Cinedigm entered into a agreement to acquire OTT platform Future Today, one of the largest AVOD channel networks in the world, for $45 million in cash and $15 million in Cinedigm common stock. The acquisition increases Cinedigm’s OTT footprint to over 7.6 million Monthly Active Users and 67 million total apps. Future Today brands include Fawesome.tv and HappyKids.tv, and its cloud-based technology and ad-based monetization platform manages OTT services for more than 350 content owners, producers, distributors and major media companies.
