BoldBrush Recommends: Curt StanfieldBiographyIn 2018 I retired and while vacationing in Vieques, Puerto Rico I painted a small 12x12 canvas to donate for a Humane Society Auction at the Siddhia Hutchinson Gallery. I painted it seaside on a borrowed canvas. I hadn't painted in almost 30 years. That little 12x12 got a resounding reception among nearly 100 other pieces. What started as a donation has blossomed into my new calling-painting full-time and feeding my soul! Since 2018 I have been dedicated to my professional painting career, fueled by my enthusiasm for landscapes and environmental conservation. My involvement with various environmental organizations and projects has been diverse, ranging from a residency with the National Park Service on Lake Michigan to collaborations with artists to bring awareness to protecting our Indiana waterways. I regularly exhibit at environmentally themed fine art shows around the state and am a signature member of the American Impressionist Society of artists. I'm a member of the Brown County Art Guild in Nashville Indiana as well as on the board of directors for the Ouabache Land Conservancy in west central Indiana. I thank you for checking out my work and I hope you will return. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. |
