Diksha McCord Excerpt from The Healing Kitchen: Thanksgiving is a special time to come together and give thanks to God, and to family and friends. Cook with gratitude and love for all living beings, for the earth, and for life. Before eating the meal, you might share a prayer of gratitude. While eating and socializing, try to radiate gratitude to your family and friends, and to God for all the blessings in your life. |

Centering Before Cooking for Thanksgiving You can start your meal preparation with a prayer: “Beloved God, we thank You for all Your blessings, but most of all, we thank You for Your love. Bless us today as we prepare the Thanksgiving meal. May the food be infused with Your joy.“ You can affirm while cooking: “I give thanks to the giver behind each gift, and to the one Giver behind all that I receive.”* * From Affirmations for Self-Healing by Swami Kriyananda.
