Crispy-Edged Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

By attosa

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies on trayMy friends and I were having a discussion about cookies. Everyone agreed oatmeal was better than plain, chocolate chips were better than raisins, but half liked chewy while the other half liked crispy. As this debate was going on, I came up with a cookie combination to make everyone happy. I actually prefer chewy, but when I tried my cookies, I was immediately fond of the crispy edges. What a surprise. Everyone loved these!

Berry Lime Sorbet

By Holly

Berry Lime Sorbet in bowlThis sorbet is a sweet, slightly tart treat, that is perfect for the end of summer. It is non-fat and also has reduced sugar content. A honey syrup with whole fruit enhances the consistency and adds natural sweetness. No ice cream maker needed! Perfect for someone looking for a healthier alternative to store bought ice cream or sorbet.

Sun Tea Jar for Separating Stock

When making a batch of turkey stock the other day, I needed a large glass container to put it in to allow it to cool. The only one I could find was my old sun-tea jar - a very happy accident!
